Year 7 Trip to Rochester
After a pleasant coach ride we arrived at Rochester. My group went to the Guildhall museum where we learnt about the early history of Rochester. I particularly enjoyed learning about Charles Dickens and his time in the town. This is what the second half of the museum focussed on.
We then went to The Poor House where we learnt about pilgrims and monks staying there. This tied in with what we have been studying in history and helped me to picture what had been covered in my lessons.
After that we went to the stunning cathedral and learnt about how it has changed throughout history. After a quick lunch overlooking the castle grounds it was time to return to school.
All in all it was a fantastic day!
