The Quest Academy offers a very wide variety of food options incorporating both traditional and international dishes including vegetarian and vegan options. Our catering team all have over 10 years’ experience. All catering staff hold food hygiene, allergy and food safety level 2 or 3 training. The Quest Academy has a 5 star food hygiene rating.

We are happy to accommodate specific dietary requirements and ask parents/carers to tell us about these. All dishes are nut-free but we are not a nut-free site. Food is made onsite ensuring fresh well-prepared meals, and themed days during the year are always popular.

All students purchase their food through a cashless account which is credited by parents through the ParentPay online system. We currently use biometrics, avoiding the need to remember a PIN. Children who are eligible for free school meals use the same method to purchase food. Parents can view their child’s food and drink purchases online.

Students can purchase fresh food at:

  • Breakfast (08:00 – 08:35)
  • First Break (10:15 – 10:35)
  • Lunchtime (12:35 – 13:10)

Free School Meals – Is your child entitled?

The Quest Academy uses an online system to check eligibility for free school meals.

If your child may be eligible, please complete the online application to confirm this. A separate application is required for each child, although your details will be saved to make the process quicker.

Free Breakfast Offer

The Quest Academy is proud to be in partnership with Magic Breakfast, providing healthy breakfasts to our students so that they are ready for the day and fuelled for learning!

Breakfast is available every day for all students (including Quest 6), free of charge, in the school canteen. Our breakfast offer includes bagels, crumpets, toast, porridge and cereal and is served from 08.00am to 08.30am daily.

Magic Breakfast provides our students with nutritious breakfast food to ensure they start their school day in the best possible way. Breakfast gives young people the energy needed for the busy school morning, enabling them to focus on their lessons. Here at The Quest Academy, we are committed to ensuring no child is too hungry to learn.

Please do encourage your child to attend school on time each morning to allow them to take full advantage of such a beneficial offer.

Packed Lunch

Students are welcome to bring a packed lunch, although we ask that it is nut-free. These can be eaten in the dining area, form room or outside.

The set lunch menu is rotated on a 3 week basis. All set meals (dinner and dessert) are priced at £2.60. This menu is in addition to the pasta, wraps, jacket potatoes, sandwiches and rolls that are available each day.
