Student Leadership
At The Quest Academy, we are committed to developing confident, responsible and compassionate young people. Student leadership is a key part of our school culture and provides students with meaningful opportunities to develop the skills of communication, collaboration, resilience and leadership.
Leadership begins in the classroom and extends through our pastoral system, enrichment programme and wider school community. Students are encouraged to take on responsibility, represent their peers and contribute positively to school life.

A key part of our provision is our Student Wellbeing Ambassadors, who are specially selected and trained by our Designated Safeguarding Lead, Kathleen Waterhouse. These students play an important role in promoting wellbeing, supporting their peers and helping to create a safe, supportive and inclusive environment across the school. We also have a team of Anti-Bullying Ambassadors, trained through the Diana Award programme. These students champion kindness, challenge bullying behaviours and help to ensure that all students feel safe, respected and supported.
In Key Stage 4, students can apply to become Year 11 Prefects. Our prefect team act as role models for younger students, supporting with school events, representing the student voice and contributing to the day-to-day running of the school. They demonstrate maturity, responsibility and a strong commitment to the values of The Quest Academy. Throughout their journey, students are encouraged to take initiative – whether through organising events, supporting younger students, contributing to charity work or leading within the school community. At Quest, student leadership is about more than titles – it is about empowering young people to develop their voice, take responsibility and prepare for their future as active citizens in society.
