On Friday 17th October, our Year 10 students successfully completed their week of work experience, marking an important milestone in their career’s education journey.

On this day, students stepped beyond the classroom to experience the world of work first-hand, developing vital skills and gaining a clearer sense of their future aspirations. Placements were impressively varied, with students taking up opportunities at renowned organisations such as KPMG, Unilever, and Croydon Council, alongside local businesses, schools, and community organisations. Whether working in offices, retail environments, education settings or creative industries, our students represented The Quest Academy with maturity, enthusiasm, and professionalism.

The purpose of this experience is not only to help students understand what it’s like to be part of a real working environment but also to inspire ambition, build confidence, and connect classroom learning with future pathways. Feedback from employers has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the excellent attitude and commitment shown by our students.

We are incredibly proud of the way our Year 10s embraced this opportunity, and we hope it has sparked new ideas about their future studies and careers. A huge thank you also goes to the employers, families, and staff who supported our students in making this experience so valuable. This is just one of many steps in preparing our young people for life beyond school and Year 10 have certainly made a strong start.
