Trip to The British Museum
On Thursday 14th November 2024, Year 10 Shackleton students visited The British Museum as part of Academy Day.
This enriching excursion allowed students to engage deeply with exhibits on Roman History, the Exploration of Egypt, and Greek artifacts, giving them a hands-on learning experience that complemented their classroom studies.
As part of their visit, students completed various tasks designed to challenge their historical understanding, critical thinking, and research skills. They investigated the ancient artifacts and collections, making connections between the past and the present.
The students’ conduct throughout the day was exceptional; they approached the experience with enthusiasm, curiosity, and respect for the museum’s collections. Their behaviour was a true reflection of the high standards upheld by The Quest Academy, and they represented both their school and themselves with pride.
The day provided a valuable opportunities for academic growth, fostering a deeper appreciation for the cultural and historical contexts of these ancient civilisations.
