“All the world’s a stage.”

The Year 10 GCSE Drama students know this Shakespearian quote to be true. Earlier this month they had the opportunity to go to the world-famous Globe Theatre to watch a thrilling new interpretation of Arthur Miller’s thought-provoking play: The Crucible. This experience was particularly useful for the Year 10 students because The Crucible is their set text for their upcoming GCSE exam.

Students have read The Crucible, explored the play practically and watched a version of the play on Drama Online. However, there is nothing quite like going to theatre and existing in the same space as the actors.

The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and had lively discussions about the performance. The students have had a wonderful year, and will surely continue to show their enthusiasm, passion and dedication heading into Year 11.
