On Friday 28th June we awoke to a beautiful day for sports day, the sun was shining with a light breeze which made conditions perfect for an action packed day of sport.

As in previous years, the day started with a multi sports festival in which every student from Years 7-10 and 12 was involved. There was basketball, football, dodgeball, tennis, handball, table tennis, cricket, netball, dance, chess and rounders. Students competed in their houses which meant for some hard fought matches across all sports: Hillary dominated the football whilst Livingstone won the netball. The basketball was won by Shackleton as was the rounders, dance, girls football, handball and tennis. Overall Shackleton won the morning events with a total of 615 points, Livingstone came in second with 460 and Hillary third with 445 points:

Hillary  445
Livingstone  460
Shackleton  615

The afternoon saw the athletics competition take place, again, this was hard fought with competitors from all houses achieving success. Livingstone dominated the Year 7 and 8 competitions with Shackleton second and Hillary third in both. Hillary won the Year 9 and 10 competitions with Shackleton once again coming second and Livingstone third in both. This resulted in overall athletics scores of:

Hillary 1093
Livingstone  921
Shackleton 963

This all meant that the final scores were as follows:

*Hillary* *1538*
Livingstone  1381
Shackleton  1578
