Year 10 students at The Quest Academy recently welcomed Rob Price from the Bank of England for an engaging and informative careers talk. Rob spoke to students about the wide range of careers available at the Bank of England, helping to challenge the misconception that roles are limited to economics or finance.

He highlighted opportunities across areas such as technology, data, communications, policy, and apprenticeships, and explained the skills and personal qualities employers value most. The talk also explored Rob’s own career journey, offering students a realistic and relatable insight into career pathways, decision-making, and progression.

Students were encouraged to think about how their current GCSE studies, attendance, and attitudes to learning can influence future opportunities. Year 10 students engaged well throughout the session, asking thoughtful questions and gaining a clearer understanding of the different routes into professional careers, including apprenticeships and graduate pathways.

We would like to thank Rob Price for taking the time to visit The Quest Academy and for delivering an inspiring careers talk that supported our ongoing commitment to preparing students for their future pathways.
