Oh what a night! I could not think of a better way to the academic year than with a performance of spectacular proportions of our hugely talented students.

Our Annual Summer Showcase “Quest End” is a final opportunity for our students to display their own passions outside of the usual curriculum. With outstanding performances from rising stars such as Kyra and Amelia (7S1) with stunning vocals or our resident Piano playing extraordinaire Sena (9S2) or returning veteran of the stage Aimee (Year 12) to name but a few, all students involved completely blew the audience away with how exceptional they were.

The role of a teacher isn’t simply to teach, the role is often to facilitate learning and experiences. I am so proud to have played a part in the facilitation of this experience which saw students choreographing, choosing, rehearsing, planning, organising the entire show themselves. I am proud of the resilience, I am proud of the hard work and I am proud of every single student who pursues their own passion.

I’ll leave you with this, in the words of Tracey Turnblad, always remember… You can’t stop the beat.
