A group of Year 9 students have been involved in an outreach project from The Old Vic theatre. So far these students have watched a series of monologues, A Christmas Carol, and A Number. They have also had workshops delivered by industry professionals which cover character development, lighting design and directing.

In our most recent excursion on 2nd March, we visited The Old Vic to watch Caryl Churchill’s dystopian play A Number followed by a Q&A with BAFTA nominee Paapa Essiedu and acting legend, Lennie James.

Two weeks later, they took part in an intense workshop on the skills of a director and had the opportunity to make their own creative decision for the play.

We will soon be visiting the theatre again to watch The 47th and we can’t wait! Watch this space for another update.
