The Quest Academy CCF joins with Trinity School in the First Contingent

Remembrance Day, paying tribute to the sacrifices of military and service personnel in conflicts past and present, was observed in Croydon on Sunday, at the war memorial outside the Town Hall and at Croydon Minster. Senior cadets from The Quest Academy were selected to parade as part of the first contingent and to attend the service.

Conducted by the Rt Revd Jonathan Clark, the Bishop of Croydon, the annual Civic Service of Remembrance was held at Croydon Minster at 11am, on Sunday 12th November, in conjunction with local branches of the Royal British Legion.

Following the service, there was a wreath-laying ceremony at the cenotaph in Katharine Street at 12.30pm, led by the Mayor of Croydon, Toni Letts.

Representatives of military and public services, and borough-based cadet and youth groups were in attendance.

The marching contingents of the parade set off from near the Marks and Spencer store in North End at around 12.20pm.

They marched through North End arriving at Katharine Street at around 12.25pm.

Corporal Ryan Donnelly, Corporal Shanti Harbourne and Senior RAF cadet Maria Morriss were chosen to represent The Quest Academy CCF.
