Year 8 started their season fantastically.  A new squad has been formed with some familiar faces from last year’s team.

The team was bubbling over with excitement for the first match of the season, finally it was upon us, after practicing week after week. The first quarter got off to a solid start with us scoring 4-0. In the second quarter we more than doubled our score to finish at half time with a score of 10-2.

The energy levels of the team were beginning to peak with Jess, Frankie and Aaliyah commanding the ball down the court. Hafsa made some fantastic interceptions in her debut match with Yasmeen nipping around the opposition. Going in to the last quarter, we set ourselves a target of reaching 20. The final score was 22-2, with Hannah scoring 18 of these goals. What a way to start the season!
