On a damp a blustery day Mr Bevan, Miss Cherrett and Miss Wheatley took 35 students from years 7, 8 and 9 to The Oval in London to take part in Surrey Schools Day.

The day was centred around watching Surrey play against Lancashire on the 3rd day of their 4 day championship match. Despite the weather the match started only half an hour late with a wicket on the first ball

The children had plenty of activities all around the ground to take part in including; face painting, meeting the mascot Caesar The Lion and playing some mini cricket games. Some of the children even managed to get the prized autograph of Kevin Pietersen!

It was a great day and all the children behaved perfectly and were a credit to The Academy.
