Following his brilliant performance at the ‘Croydon Schools Year 7 Cross Country Championships’, Abdoulaye Diallo was selected to compete for South Croydon in the ‘2015 Surrey Schools Cross Country Championships’! These were held on Saturday 17th January 2015, at Priory Park, Reigate. Abdoulaye is the first ever Quest Academy student to achieve this.

Upon arriving at the park Abdoulaye and Mr Soalla-Bell were amazed at the conditions. It was very close to zero degrees and the ground was covered in frost. As Abdoulaye began his warm up, hail stones started to fall, and it then proceeded to snow! Fortunately though this lasted only a few minutes, as the sun then began to shine.

In the race itself Abdoulaye ran the 2.6km course in a time of 14 minutes, 18 seconds. His performance, and that of the other boys in the South Croydon team, helped the team to win the Year 7 boys competition!
