Earlier this week, twelve Year 10 pupils took part in leadership training, which prepares them to run a Primary School Games Competition.  The Competition hosted eight primary schools, in the Sports Hall.

They arrived promptly just before lunch to set up and welcome the teams. Our pupils were a credit to the school, looking smart and greeting teams on arrival.  Throughout the competition they helped organise, coach and officiate.

Towards the end, during the shooting competition and presentation, three members of staff from separate primary schools expressed how impressed they had been with the quality of leaders and their conduct, help and support during the competition. The primary students and staff thoroughly enjoyed themselves (and the leaders!)

A special mention to Shannele Wakefield and Sian Clements, who stood out amongst the group!

This was an extremely successful and valuable experience for our students. Congratulations all.
