On Thursday 23rd April, staff and students attended a “Hustings” event for the General Election. Despite the extremely hot weather, students of all ages were engaged and excited by the opportunity to get involved with the political debate. Many students stayed behind afterwards to meet with the candidates, asking them challenging questions and getting their opinions on a range of issues in Croydon.

Pleasingly, all the candidates were blown away by the enthusiasm and exemplary behaviour of our students. All of them said it was the most exciting and electric hustings event they had done so far in the campaign, with the largest turn out too. They were all particularly impressed with how students behaved professionally and sensibly.

All the pupils were exemplary ambassadors for the school, to which we should all be very proud.
