Eleven Year 11 pupils had the exciting opportunity to visit Oxford University for the day. We arrived at the station early and caught the train to the City of Oxford.

After walking to Mansfield College, students sat through a talk which really opened their eyes to the many opportunities given at university and the opportunities it can lead to.

After this, pupils were given a tour of Mansfield college and sat down for lunch in the dining hall. The day ended with an exciting academic taster session; here pupils worked with students form other Croydon schools to understand the principles of trademarking a product in multiple courts.

The best part of the day was hearing pupils say, “One day, that will be me, I will come to Oxford.”
