Lord Mayor’s Show
Four of our Year 10 students took part in the Lord Mayor’s show on Saturday 14th November 2015 as part of the London Fire Brigade’s Young People’s Conference.
They represented Crossfire which is part of the London Fire Brigade that work closely with young people to get fire safety awareness out to young people.
The four students were, Audrey Osei-Bonsu, Joy Hagan, Melissa Jeffrey and Donny Senior.
Audrey wrote this about the day: – “We represented the London Fire Brigade Crossfire at the Lord Mayor’s show, which involved us walking around an area of the city for 2 hours supporting out section. We all had a great time, it was fun and enjoyable. However, the best part probably had to be seeing all the features involved such as the Army guns and of course getting to keep our uniform, especially the blue, crossfire hoody. Even though it was a tiring and long day, I believe it was thoroughly enjoyable for everyone”.
These students were offered places on the Young Peoples board via the Impact days that LFB run in school every year to our year 8 students. Thank you to Dave Gill for his continued input into The Quest Academy.
